Before Ken Paxton was photographed walking near London's Westminster Bridge and the London Eye with his alleged mistress, he had already spent years fending off questions about his personal life — questions that have followed him from a 2023 impeachment trial into his current Senate campaign.
Paxton, 63, and Christian influencer Tracy Duhon, 58, were recorded "gallivanting" through London in dressy attire over the Fourth of July weekend, days after the pair was seen flying from Washington, D.C., to Reykjavik, Iceland. Paxton and Duhon reportedly met in May 2024 at the Kentucky Derby while both were still married to other people.
Paxton is still legally married to State Sen. Angela Paxton, with whom he shares four children. Angela Paxton filed for divorce on "biblical grounds" last year, a decision that came after Paxton's earlier 2023 impeachment trial, which centered in part on an alleged affair with a woman named Laura Olsen and accusations that he tried to cover it up. The Texas House impeached Paxton on charges including bribery and abuse of office, though the state Senate later acquitted him on all 16 articles.
Paxton's opponent in the Senate race, James Talarico, responded to the London sighting with a statement: "Americans celebrated 250 years of independence from Britain this weekend. Ken Paxton spent it with the British." Texas Democratic Party spokesperson Ryan Martin added that "the last place any patriotic Texan would be during the week of America's historic 250th anniversary is vacationing in England."
